RCH00001 - Field Operations - Project Engineer

As a Construction Project Engineer at RCH Construction, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate the delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget. You will spend the majority of days in the field traveling to multiple projects, directing operations and escalating any issues that are discovered to leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Support: Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and executing construction projects.
  • Document Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project costs, track expenses, and assist in cost control efforts.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that construction activities meet or exceed quality standards and comply with building codes and regulations.
  • Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors to schedule work, track progress, and address issues as they arise.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, clients, and team members
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve construction issues and challenges in a timely manner.
  • Schedule Management: Assist in project scheduling and progress tracking to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Material Procurement: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials.
  • Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure workmanship meets company standards.
  • Reports and Analytics: Prepare reports, status updates, and analytics as required for project management and client communication.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Previous field experience under a residential builder or remodeler.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
